Introduction
Brinell hardness is a standard for indicating the hardness of materials. It was first proposed by the Swede J.A. Brinell, hence the name Brinell hardness. Brinell hardness (HB) is measured by applying a certain test load to press a hardened steel ball or a carbide ball of a certain diameter into the surface of the material to be tested, maintaining the load for a specified time, and then removing the load. The diameter of the indentation on the tested surface is measured. The Brinell hardness measurement method is suitable for cast iron, non-ferrous alloys, various annealed and tempered steels, but is not suitable for testing samples or workpieces that are too hard, too small, too thin, or whose surfaces are not allowed to have large indentations. The Vickers hardness tester is mainly used for testing small, thin specimens, and brittle hardware. By selecting various accessories or upgrading various structures, it can be widely used for various metals (ferrous metals, non-ferrous metals, castings, alloy materials, etc.), metal structures, metal surface processing layers, electroplated layers, hardened layers (oxidation, various diffusion layers, coating layers), heat treatment specimens, carbonized specimens, quenched specimens, microhardness measurement of micro-inclusions, glass, agate, artificial gemstones, ceramics and other brittle non-metallic materials. It can also be used for multi-point measurement in precise positioning of small areas, deep indentation testing and analysis, coating layer testing and analysis, hardness gradient testing, observation and research of metallographic structures, and measurement and analysis of coating thickness. It is an essential testing instrument for quality inspection departments in laboratories, metrology institutes, and material research.
This model has been newly developed in accordance with the standards of GB/T4340.2-2025, ISO6507-2, ASTME384, GB/T231.2, and the verification regulation JJG150 -2005, as well as EN ISO 6506. It is designed to cover both Brinell and Vickers hardness measurements, significantly enhancing its practicality. It features a closed-loop loading control system, ensuring high precision in the applied force, excellent repeatability and stability of the readings. Both the optical performance and structural stability and durability have been greatly improved, making it highly reliable, operable and repeatable. It is an ideal product for testing Brinell and Vickers hardness. This machine adopts programmed control, high-magnification optical measurement system, and optical dual-channel structure, along with new technologies such as photoelectric and photo-coupler sensors. It is operated through a touch screen, which can directly measure the length of the indentation, display the hardness value, conversion scale, test force, force holding time and measurement count on the screen.
Main functions and features
1.The newly designed LED optical system adopts standard white light with low energy consumption and long service life. It not only provides clear images but can also be used as a simple microscope. The brightness is adjustable, offering a comfortable visual experience and reducing fatigue during prolonged operation.
2. The 7-inch touch screen can display the test method, test force, upper and lower limits of hardness value, pass/fail indication, measure the indentation length, hardness value, test force holding time, measurement times, and can input year, month, and date. It can also handle test results and data processing, etc.
3. The main interface can display the real-time curve of loading force value versus time.
4. The system is equipped with a built-in calibration function. For each test force level, the input error can be manually adjusted using the calibration instrument.
5. Adjustable range of optical system brightness: 0 - 100;
6.It can store up to 100 sets of test data, and display the average value and the number of tests on the main interface.
7. The unit of test force can be manually selected and converted. The conversion units are: (Kgf, N).
8.The main interface can simultaneously display 4 conversion scales and can be switched among: National Standard (GB), American Standard (ASTM), and International Standard (ISO). A total of 18 measurement scales can be converted: HRA, HRB, HRC, HRD, HRE, HRF, HRG, HRH, HRK, HR15N, HR30N, HR45N, HR15T, HR30T, HR45T, HV, HK, HBW.
9.Both the high-power and low-power objectives can directly measure hardness.
10. It features a diagonal length memory function. After the device is turned off, the diagonal length is automatically memorized. When it is turned on again, measurement can be conducted directly without the need for a second zeroing.
11. The screen sleep time can be set, and the system will automatically enter sleep mode after a long period of inactivity, which is energy-saving and environmentally friendly.
12. The measurement scale can be selected as HV, HBW, or hardness.
13. Test data can be directly exported via the built-in printer or USB (optional).
14.The system supports 14 languages and allows for easy switching among them: Chinese, Traditional Chinese, English, Russian, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Turkish, Czech, Japanese, Korean, Thai, and Vietnamese. Customization is available.
15. The one-piece formed shell structure is stable and does not deform. The pure white automotive paint is of high grade and has strong scratch resistance. It remains as bright as new even after years of use.
16.Our company has the ability to independently research and develop, design, and produce and process. We offer lifetime parts replacement and maintenance and upgrade services for our machines.
