Derui Environmental Test Chambers in Service at a Testing Laboratory
News | In Service
Guangdong Derui Testing Equipment Co., Ltd. has completed the installation and start-up of a batch of environmental test chambers at a testing laboratory, where the equipment is now in routine use. The delivery covered three chamber types: a rapid temperature change test chamber, a thermal shock test chamber and a walk-in temperature and humidity chamber.

What was installed
Figures above are taken from the specification of the corresponding model. The final configuration is confirmed project by project against the required test standard, sample size and site conditions.
From Delivery to Routine Operation
Commissioning
The chambers were sited in the laboratory's environmental test area and connected to the site services. Commissioning covered power-up, a functional run of each chamber, and confirmation of the control parameters against the agreed test profile, so that the equipment could be handed over in working order rather than started up on the customer's own time.
The laboratory now runs all three chamber types on the same floor: the rapid temperature change chamber for controlled ramp testing, the thermal shock chamber for fast high-to-low transitions, and the walk-in room for full-size assemblies and bulk batches.

Why a Laboratory Runs All Three
Capability
Sample size decides the housing Cabinet chambers take small to medium samples; a walk-in room takes full assemblies, large panels and bulk loads that cannot be loaded through a cabinet door.
Ramp and shock are different stresses A controlled rate of change and a near-instant transfer test a product in different ways, and test programmes commonly call for both. Keeping a chamber of each type in-house avoids sending work out.
Long climate runs stop blocking short tests Humidity cycling and storage tests can occupy a chamber for days. Separate chambers for ramp, shock and large-volume work keep the short tests on schedule. |

Frequently Asked Questions
Buyer questions
1 | What is the difference between a rapid temperature change chamber and a thermal shock chamber? A rapid temperature change chamber moves the chamber air at a controlled ramp, typically 5 to 25 °C per minute, so the sample sees a defined rate of change. A thermal shock chamber is built for speed of transfer: the sample stays in the middle chamber while hot and cold air is switched in from either side, reaching the new set point within a short recovery time. |
2 | When is a walk-in chamber the right choice? When the sample cannot go through a cabinet door, or when a batch of parts has to be tested together under the same climate. The DR-H202 configuration offers a 1500 × 1200 × 1500 mm working space at -70 °C to 150 °C and 20 % to 98 % RH. |
3 | What information is needed to specify a chamber? The test standard and profile, sample dimensions and mass, the temperature and humidity range required, and the power supply available on site. The configuration is confirmed per project before production. |
4 | What is the on-site process after the chamber arrives? The chamber is sited, connected to the site services and run functionally, with the control parameters checked against the agreed profile before it goes into routine use. |
5 | Which climate tests can a walk-in temperature and humidity chamber run? Temperature and humidity cycling, constant temperature and humidity, extreme temperature and humidity, fast ramp rate testing and storage testing. The DR-H202 room uses a balanced temperature and humidity control system with an LCD controller, and can be supplied with remote computer control. |
6 | How large a sample can each chamber take? The rapid temperature change model has an internal working space of 800 × 600 × 850 mm, and the DR-H202 walk-in room 1500 × 1200 × 1500 mm. For a batch of small parts the usable volume, rather than a single sample dimension, is usually the deciding figure. |
7 | Which products are these chambers used to test? The rapid temperature change chamber is used for stress screening and failure-mode analysis of photovoltaic components, interconnection circuits, component assemblies and electronic devices. Thermal shock chambers serve the same sectors where the programme calls for fast high-to-low transitions, and the walk-in room covers large items such as automotive components and bulk batches. |
8 | What power supply do these chambers need? The rapid temperature change chamber is rated three-phase 380 V / 50 Hz and the DR-H202 walk-in room AC 380 V ± 10 %, 50/60 Hz. The supply is confirmed against the site conditions before production so that the chamber matches the power available in the laboratory. |
Send us the test standard, the sample size and the temperature and humidity range you need. We will come back with a configuration and a quotation.
